Casablanca: five metres change the scale.

A circle of wool becomes the centre of an interior and the meeting point between two perspectives.

Casablanca: five metres change the scale.

A name as a meeting point.

Casablanca connects the Moroccan roots of Khalida Toukkani and Ismael Boufrahi with their European design practices. The project does not reproduce an image of the city; it retains an idea of movement and crossing.

The circle organises.

At five metres in diameter, the rug moves beyond furniture logic. It establishes a centre, sets distances and creates an interior landscape around which the room can organise itself.

The hand remains visible.

Despite this scale, wool weaving retains nuance and depth. Monumentality does not come from a perfectly uniform surface but from the patient repetition of a human gesture.
