Dialogue

Casablanca as shared memory.

Khalida Toukkani and Ismael Boufrahi share Moroccan roots and design practices formed in Europe. The collaboration names Casablanca as a meeting point rather than a literal motif.

Scale

Five metres change how a rug is read.

The five-metre circle no longer behaves like an accessory placed beneath furniture. It organises movement, establishes a centre and becomes almost a floor within the floor.

Material

A large surface, still made by hand.

Entirely handwoven in wool, the piece retains the nuance and depth of craft despite its monumental scale. That tension between precision and variation gives the project its presence.
