Maison Tóukkani · Practical guide
Wool and rug samples
A sample is not a miniature rug. It is there to understand wool, colour, density and relief before committing to a full piece.
What wool changes in the room
View it in the room where the rug will live, in morning and evening light. Place it beside fabrics, wood or stone. A shade that feels right in a showroom may become too warm or cool elsewhere.
Three points to check
- Test in the project’s real light
- Compare with surrounding materials
- Validate colour and relief together
The Maison’s point of view
For bespoke projects, samples help secure material and palette before final fabrication begins.
For a real project, these references should always be tested against plans, light, use and the constraints of place. The Maison then confirms material, dimensions and feasibility through Project Desk.
