At the ICFF New York fair, Khalida Toukkani and Joshua Charles Joseph's paths crossed, and their creative chemistry was instant.

This unexpected meeting led to a collaboration that truly felt like design magic in the making.
Joshua, a visionary decorator known for crafting some of the most original and entertaining spaces, was captivated by Khalida’s unique aesthetic.
He commissioned her to create six large-scale pieces for the lobby of Common House in New Orleans.

The vision?

To fuse the electric pulse of NOLA jazz with the soft, radiant touch of Khalida’s artistry.

The outcome is a stunning blend of color and form—a visual choreography that effortlessly merges modern and traditional elements.
These works, both daring and sophisticated, capture the essence of their collaboration—each brushstroke and hue telling a story of art and culture coming together. Khalida, renowned for reimagining Moroccan rugs, brought new life to each piece, creating an immersive experience that transcends time and emotion.
